Music and Children....

Wow....
Such a hectic day for me as a working mom. Moreover, my husband is working outstation and will only come home on the weekend. I have to manage the house by myself and of course looking after the little one alone....

How I wish the daddy is around everyday... (^,_,^)

What to do, he have to work for the family....

The little one of course is very active as usual...And what surprise me is that, she really enjoy listening to the music. Eventhough she can only pronounce very few words at the moment (of course if u are not used to hear her talk, u will not understand the language), but when it comes to music, she suddenly can pronounce the some of words in the lyrics very clear.... So, I made a conclusion that she can learn better through music. I did not have time to do my research about this thing but I did read one article (forgot which article already) that when we continually let our baby listen to the same song, they will remember the song and when they grow up, they sometimes can automatically sing the song eventhough we already stop playing the song to them..

I think it might be true since I suddenly realize that my little one give respond when I played the song I used to play during I was pregnant last time. When I was pregnant with her, I used to play few songs to her and put the earphone on my belly so she can hear the song.. After she was born, I continue to play the same song to her every night until she was about 4 months old. After that, I stop played the song because the sound of the music sometimes distract her and she will not want to go to sleep if there is a sound around. That's why I stop playing music to her during her bedtime.

Only just now after about 1 year, I download the song I used to play to her last time and play it. To my surprise, she was sooooo excited and she did not even move during I play the song.. But when I play another song that is not familiar to her, she start to walk around and do her own things but when I play the song again, she will stop playing and concentrate with the music and when the song finished, she will start to do her own thing again... It was like she can attach with the song eventhough its the first time I play the song after a year...

I think she already record the song in her brain and when I played the song again, it was like a playback to her..... hmmmmm

Good Day moms... Best of luck to all of you with your children!

See you soon....

When Is The Best Time To Conceive???

I'm sure all of the women out there who wish to conceive will ask the same question.. Me myself spend most of my time doing the research at the net just to find out this thing. But that was last time when I was just got married. For modern couple, they might be little bit open about this matter and some did not want to conceive earlier...

I don't need to explain what is the disadvantages of conceiving late because we all always heard or read about that thing. For me, at that time, I was a bit mixed feeling whether I want to conceive early or not... But my family (both side) never stop asking whether I missed my period or not even it was just the first month of our marriage (hmmm... typical asian thinking. What to do..)

According to my research, the best time to conceive is the 14th day of our cycle. Because women ovulate on her 14th day after her 1st day period comes... But of course our cycle must be regular. As for me, its easy for me to count my cycle because I have a regular cycle (28 days) every months. So, if you want to get pregnant fast, try increase your sex activity on that day (hahaha...). Of course I cannot give 100% assurance that you will get pregnant if you follow this method but at least, the chances to get pregnant is high at this time.. and I did use this method last time (increasing the sex activity to..twice..trice.. a day) ~meaning, you really have to work hard at that time.... LOL!

I still use this method until now, but or family planning... I count my cycle properly and when I feel it is not safe to have sex but still got high demand from my hubby, I will FORCE him to use c****m since I did not take any contraceptive pills. Of course he always complaint how inconvenient it is using this c****m thing....LOL!

p/s ~ this is just based on my experienced and not a professional advice... You can do your own research on the net or ask your doctor. GOOD LUCK!

Rheumatiod Athritis and pregnancy

My sister is suffering from join pain since about 3 years ago.. I really pity her because she is still very young....

She did went to see many different doctors but none of them can tell what is actually happen to her. They just said might be some problem in the joint eventhough her joint was already swollen and she is such in pain. We did sent her to the specialist but end up spending lots of money without any conclusion... I'm a bit frustrated but what can I do...I not a doctor... :(

We also sent her to the hospital but I guess their technology is not that good, that they sent her home and say nothing wrong with her without did thorough check.. They did took her blood sample and did X-ray and still said nothing wrong with her.. My gosh!!! Just because she is still too young, they ignore the fact that she might have rheumatoid athritis.. It is really frustrating to hear the doctors said she is ok but then when we go back home, she will cry because of the pain...

When she was sent for a practical recently, I ask her to live with me so she can follow me and no need to go to her practical place by bus. Because she live with me, I saw her progression every day and sad to say, she is not getting well but getting worse everyday. My heart aching when I saw he struggle with the pain every day... Only God know how hard it is for us to watch her condition but cannot do anything.

One day, I brought her to the clinic where I formerly work because she is complaining that she might not do well in the practical because of her condition. I thank God because this is the first doctor who really make us see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The Doctor asked my sister to do the blood test specifically for arthritis. She also offer to refer my sister to the specialist if she is confirmed having Rheumatoid Arthritis. Thank God... At last..

One thing I interested is, the doctor said, if she is really a rheumatoid athritis' patient, she still can conceive and have a normal family. The medication will not effect her ability to conceive... hmmm...

Now, the result was out already and she is really have the rheumatoid arthritis. She is now referred to rheumatologis and already start her treatment. From what I understand, she will have to go through the treatment for entire of her live.. Pity her.. We can only hope for miracle from God....

My question is...is the sickness will ever getting worse when she got pregnant one day??
Those of you who have the experience with this situation, please share it to us so that we can be prepared mentally and physically when the time comes.... TQ

My 1st Pregnancy ExPeRiEnCe...

When I think of it again, I just can't stop smiling.......

It was the third month of our new marriage life when suddenly my period didn't come. I was a bit mix feeling. My period will come exactly on the 28th day of my cycle since I was teenager... I always thick the date so I will know when is my previous period. Then, when I got married, I started to count my cycle just to make sure my cycle is consistent..(for family planning, eventhough we're not into family planning yet at that time.)

When I missed my period about 2 weeks, I feel excited to do my own pregnancy test at home, so I went to Watson to buy the pregnancy test kit. When I search in the internet about the accuracy of the home pregnancy test kit, I found out that the best time to do the test is early in the morning (first urine when you wake up) because our urine is not yet contaminated with any outside source (from foods or drinks we consume)...Of course it means that you have to do the test first thing in the morning when you woke up before you consume anything... Doesn't mean that you cannot do the test in the afternoon or other time during the day. Its just that it will be less accurate. Unless you do the test in your third months of pregnancy because at that time our hCG level (hormone during pregnancy) will be high already..

In my case, my period was only 2 weeks late than usual.. Meaning, my hCG level is still very low (if I really pregnant)...and the chances to detect the hormone was of course very low.. So, I have to do it first thing in the morning when I woke up...and tttaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaa...... my kit shows two line, but the second line was very blur, almost cannot see...(^_^)... hmm..I wonder if I really pregnant or not???

At the evening, I went to the clinic to confirm it. This GP doctor ask me to do one more test and the result is still the same (two line-the 2nd line was very blur). So this Indian doctor did ultrasound and surprisingly, he didn't see any embryo inside my womb... So, he said to me, either my embryo is still tooooo small or the embryo was outside the womb, i.e ectopic pregnancy. He even advise me to get ready of any circumstances regarding my pregnancy. He said, If suddenly my period came, just take it as a natural abortion (which is I cannot understand...or purposely don't want to understand).... But you know what....I didn't really believe this doctor...So I went to another clinic and see this female doctor (which is my ex-boss). She ask me to do another test (so, I have to donate my urine once again..hmmm....) and the result is still the same. She did the ultrasound and still see nothing inside my womb...then she straight away wrote a refferal letter to refer my to the specialist Obstetrician because she also thought that my pregnancy might be ectopic pregnancy....

To cut the story short...I went to see the specialist and she laugh at us (my husband and I) because she said it is not the time yet to meet this little tiny 'thing' inside my womb... "for God's sake, its only 2 weeks.........what do you expect to see??? Go back and come again 2 weeks later" she said...hahahahahaaaa..........Shame...shame....

And now, here is our "ectopic" little girl.... Active and healthy........... THE BLESSING OF OUR FAMILY.......
